Parks and Recreation
Parks and Recreation is a Comedy Mockumentary that aired from 2009-2014 with a total of 7 seasons. The show follows the chronicles of the Parks Department in the Pawnee, Indiana local government. We meet a lot of characters, each with extremely diverse and funny personalities, making just about every character "likeable" which is something that is rare in TV shows nowadays. I am still watching the show as of now, but I only have 1 more season until I'm finished. The episodes are 20 minutes long, so if you have spare time and need something to watch, I highly recommend this show.More info here
Here are my favorite characters:
Andy Dwyer:
Andrew Dwyer (played by Chris Pratt) is one of the few characters on Parks and Rec who is consistently funny throughout the show, making him one of the best. He started in the show as a slacker who only played video games and pestered his girlfriend into doing things for him while his legs were broken in Seasons 1 and 2. After his girlfriend discovered the truth about his broken legs, she broke up with him, and Andy began to live in the pit behind her house where he broke his legs initially. It took him a while, but eventually he got his life together and began working at City Hall as a shoeshiner. After a while, he married one of the Parks Dept. employees, April Ludgate, who has a completely different personality than his; but it works out well for them. Andy has gone from job to job throughout the series, serving as Leslie's assistant, as an advisor for Ben Wyatt's charity, and even applying to the Police Academy (but he failed the personality test). Andy is always happy, and while he makes a lot of silly mistakes, he never seems to be embarassed by them, and in fact laughs at himself quite often. If you watch Parks and Rec, I'm sure you can agree that Andy is one of the best characters on the show.

Ron Swanson:

The man of the office. Cuts the BS and loves meat and his country. Doesn't care about you or your problems.

Leslie Knope:
Leslie Knope(played by Amy Poehler) is the lead character in the show. She is a very hard-working, cheerful, and organized person who isn't afraid to stand up to her opposers. Leslie began the show as Deputy Director of the Parks Dept., in which she set a very high standard and carried the slack of her fellow coworkers. However, as of Season 4, she is now a City Councilwoman. She still works just as hard as she did in the Parks Department, pushing for reform and change in her hometown, but the citizens of Pawnee view her as a villain. The citizens of Pawnee have recalled Leslie from office, but she found work elsewhere. She was offered a lead job in the National Parks Department and still works there. Leslie keeps her head held high and will continue to improve the lives of Pawnee's citizens behind the scenes...even if they do hate her. Leslie is friends with everyone and all of her friends and coworkers look up to her; she is married to Ben Wyatt.

Tom Haverford:
Tom Haverford is a young man (played by Aziz Ansari) who has a lot of swagger. He works as an administrator in the parks department, but has always wanted to start his own business. Tom lives life lavishly, buying himself what he thinks he deserves and therefore lives quite well. While his job may not support him, he doesn't care; a man with swagger should live with swagger. Tom started his own business earlier in the show called "Entertainment 720" but he and Jean-Ralphio blew all their money for the business on material objects and pointless objects and so the business went under. But Tom started another business, one that he actually took seriously called "Rent-a-Swag" where he rents his clothing to teenagers that are his size as an alternative for their parents. His business is doing well and it shows that Tom does have dedication, he just doesn't show it at the parks department.
Edit: Rent-a Swag has gone out of business but Tom started an italian restaurant called "Tom's Bistro" and it did well, until it went out of business. But after it died, Tom became a bestselling author of a book called "Failure" and it has sold 2 million copies.
